Retired doctor admitted to issuing fake medical exemptions for COVID-19 vaccine

An elderly doctor with a religious objection to the COVID-19 vaccinations came out of retirement to issue hundreds of fraudulent medical exemptions to workers to avoid mandatory COVID jabs.

Dr John Evans, 84, allegedly told police officers he had given 400 exemptions out and had another 300 pending without a proper consultation with his patients.

After a local called 2GB’s Ray Hadley on his radio show, news surfaced that teachers at Kempsey Seventh-day Adventist school on NSW’s Mid North were using fake COVID-19 vaccination certificates.

A sheet of paper carrying the doctor’s details for vaccination exemption was making rounds at the school community. The note read:

Dr John Evans *Phone to request an exemption

A spokesperson from NSW police said, “Detectives from Lake Macquarie Police District conducted inquiries, speaking to an 84-year-old man, and the matter has been referred to the relevant health authorities.”

Several news outlets contacted Dr Evans but were answered by a voicemail message saying his office was no longer issuing exemptions.

“We are no longer taking on any new exemption patients as our books are now full,” the voicemail said.

“If you have had a consultation or sent an email prior to this date and time, your paperwork will still be processed as soon as possible.”

“Please don't send or leave us a message as it will not be returned.”

Apparently, Dr Evans never met his patients personally and instead gave them the exemptions over the phone or online via email.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church responded by saying they fully support vaccinations and will cooperate with any police investigation.

“All Adventist schools in NSW will be fully compliant with the Public Health Orders as required on November 8, 2021,” the church announced.

A spokesperson for the Kempsey Adventist School said in an interview that they will be “fully compliant” with the vaccination mandates for schools in NSW.

“Seventh-day Adventist Schools in NSW had already established a Medical Contraindication Certificate Review Panel prior to the emergence of this particular matter to help ensure compliance,” the spokesperson added.

“Kempsey Adventist School wholeheartedly supports the work of this review panel as a means to ensure all appropriate steps are being taken in caring for our community.”

What people will resort to instead of just getting the vax 🤯

Get real man!!! Go get a vaccination yourself! You may not want one but it is almost your duty to protect others from your own selfishness. God said "Love thy neighbour as yourself" so go and love yourself for your neighbour and GET VACCINATED.

Terrible. It is criminal what this man is doing.
I'm not sure what repercussions he's facing but what's sad is that he risked spending the last few years of his life in prison over this.

@Alexander my line of thinking is the exact same. It's a completely selfish decision to choose not to get vaxxed.
