FACT: A lot of nursing homes in Europe have fake bus stops outside. The logic is if a senile person leaves, there is a good chance they will wait there for a bus.

I have worked where the bus stops are in the facility and we used to take residents out to sit in the sun for vitamin D at the bus stop then bring them back in the other door... after "we had such a beautiful day out on the bus"...
