Ready for some Wednesday reflection? 💙

Knock, knock! I hope Wednesday is kicking off bright and gentle. I’m spending mine with a freshly brewed cuppa, and a pen and paper in one hand, ready to jot down thoughts from a rather crazy week. I do love days when you can just slow down and process everything that has happened—good or bad. How do you reflect on big decisions, heavy feelings, and confusing thoughts? Feel free to share them here. Who knows, someone in the SDC community might need it. ☺️

I now always try not to over think something.

For any decisions I'm having trouble making I talk to my husband or daughters.
For big decisions I will write down the pro's and con's and go with the one that looks better on paper.

In the end I try not to over think as it can make it more confusing or harder to make a decision .

If something doesn't go my way I take it that it was meant to be and something better will come along.

I always try to turn a negative into a positive.

My youngest is just about finish at Uni studying nursing , she applied for an under grad nursing position at Westmead Children's hospital. She found out yesterday she didn't get it. Thousands went for the position.

She was very upset but after talking to her and reminding her that things happen for a reason. I told her to look at the worst scenario. Turns out if she doesn't get the second position she applied for she will go back to uni next year and do her masters in either women's health or Midwifery

She wants to either work in paediatric or women's health.

I told her it would be hard if she was living on her own, paying rent ect. She is at home, rent and bills free and she has me and her dad to support her when needed. I feel the extra study is the way to go

For me when making big decisions, I like to go for a long energetic walk, listening to some of my favourite music, and think through the pros and cons of the issue.
Then seek the thoughts of my wife and make a decision, based on the best option for all concerned. Usually I find it gives me the right answer.

A trip to Ireland is on my bucket list. My great grandparents were from County Cork. My maiden name was Brannigan

It’s on my bucket list also one of my nephews married an Irish girl and they have a gorgeous little girl I’d love to go see them. But i know it’ll never happen. And California to see the fields of wildflowers and visit my cousins.🌞

Maybe in 2 years I might go with my youngest daughter then we will go to Greece and meet up with my son who goes every year.

My Grandmothers family are from England but have no desire to go there

How nice would it be to visit the wild flower fields.

Dad always told me if it is a money matter, use your brain.
If it is a family matter use your heart.
