I remember all the mums, aunts, grandmothers wore them. They were pretty clever the way they concenteenered back together when you pulled the ties on each end. Folded up very small and I’m sure they were an accessory every woman had in her handbag. There were some pretty fancy designs on some of them, they could be quite the fashion accessory. I used to wear one when I first started working but don‘t have it anymore. Wore it out from memory.
