Rabbits.
Many years ago my partner had left for work and I went out the back to hang the washing and found these two rabbits quietly munching on the little grass we had.
We called them Harvey and Thumper, Thumper disappeared but Harvey, the white one, was taken in by a neighbour until they could locate the owners which was never done.
Over the years we had plenty of stray dogs turn up, one little Silky actually knocked on our front door one night, we opened it and he ran through the house, we had to hide the cats because our Troppo cat would have killed it.
I had a Golden Retriever turn up, he was very friendly and I sat with him out the back until the ranger turned up, the sad thing with him was his collar was embedded in his neck, I couldn't take it off because it was badly infected and the skin was growing around it.
Another memorable one was a Rottweiler, I got the cats inside as I didn't want them eaten and called the ranger, meanwhile I played catch with it with a tennis ball, he seemed nice and friendly enough but when the ranger got here he tried to attack him while he was putting a collar around his neck, the ranger had to get out the big pole and catch him that way, if he hadn't i'm sure that dog would have killed him.
It was the same in Perth, my daughter was forever getting followed home by stray dogs.
