I often do a rice and leftovers dish which is basically a fried rice with whatever I can find in the fridge, freezer or pantry. It's a great way to use thing up, never comes out the same way twice, and can be good for filling empty tummies.:)

To make this vegetarian just leave out the bacon! That is if you eat eggs

I do this too! I add leftover chorizos, hotdogs, and just anything I can find in the fridge. Then I add a little bit of oyster sauce :)

I endorse, being the last to give my opinion on the above. It is 'the tops" especially the ones who live alone. You have ALWAYS left overs when you love cooking. When Jerusalem artichokes are in season add the puree you have saved with more oyster sauce & you will get another different taste to want more. Fried rice is a staple food that eases hunger with no dish seemingly tasting the same. The Japanese have equally different taste buds adding extra fish oil & shrimps instead of bacon. They cook it all fresh & do NOT save left-overs. Wish I was back there again just for that one particular dish.
