Just days after the airline reshuffled its overseas routes to accommodate the opening of international travel, tickets for flights within Australia are now more affordable than ever.
From today until next Monday, Qantas is having their “Great Escape Sale” wherein thousands of discounted fares will be available for just $99.
News.com.au reported that some of the domestic routes that went on sale include Sydney to Melbourne, Sydney to Ballina, Brisbane to Hervey Bay, and Melbourne to Launceston. Available travel dates fall between November 5, 2021 and March 31, 2022.
The ticket will also include a snack and 23kg of luggage. Photo from Qantas via One Mile At A Time.
Several parts of the country have reached the 70 to 80 per cent first vaccination milestone, and borders are opening up again after a year and a half of on and off border closures. Travellers can now fly again with confidence, given that state leaders have assured residents that quarantine and lockdowns will no longer be implemented.
“With vaccination levels across the country on the rise and restrictions starting to ease, Australians are looking forward to being able to explore everything that their own backyard has to offer once again,” a spokesperson from Qantas said.
“There is a significant pent-up demand for domestic travel and with The Great Escape Sale, Qantas is offering discounted fares to make it even easier for people to book, holiday and reunite with their family and friends.”
Are you itching to see your family and friends across the country for the holidays? Then this might just be the sign you have been waiting for! Hurry and book your seat now, or else you might miss it.
