Pup's paw-lite manners delight and amuse

In the cosy corners of our homes, our furry friends often surprise us with their antics, but what if your dog's behaviour made you ponder the mysteries of their past life?

That's precisely what happened to one family whose dog's dining table manners have sparked a delightful mix of amusement and speculation online.

Federica Finocchiaro and her mother, Domenica Vinci, were sitting at their breakfast table when they were joined by an unexpected guest—their dog, Grayson.

This wasn't a one-off occurrence; Grayson has made it a habit to sit with his human family during meals, displaying an uncanny sense of decorum that would make any etiquette coach proud.

The charming scene was captured in a video posted by Federica on social media, which has since spread like wildfire, garnering nearly 20 million views.

In the video, Grayson sat serenely beside his owner, looking like a polite dinner guest.

Federica's voice can be heard in the background, expressing her surprise and delight. She asked, ‘Does anyone else's dog sit at the table? He just loves the company.’

This isn't the first time Grayson has shown his preference for a chair over a dog bed.

Federica shared a photo from Christmas when Grayson was seated at the table with guests, looking as if he were waiting for his turn to engage in the dinner conversation.

‘My mum and I will come downstairs or we'll be doing something, and he's just sitting at the table casually,’ Federica explained.

What's even more remarkable is Grayson's self-restraint. He never tries to eat the food on the table—a testament to his good manners and perhaps, some say, a hint at a more civilised past life.

Grayson's polite demeanour has led to a flurry of comments on social media, with users affectionately calling him a ‘distinguished gentleman’ and humorously speculating that he might have been ‘a human in a past life’ or even ‘a polite single grandpa on an extended visit’.

The speculation doesn't end there. Grayson's breed, the Weimaraner, is known for its intelligence and strong desire for companionship, which might explain his behaviour.

Several commenters who also own Weimaraners have confirmed that such behaviour is typical for the breed, which is known for its loyalty and affectionate nature.

One user even said, ‘My mother-in-law has a Weimaraner dog also and he does the same thing.’

But Grayson isn't just a star at the dining table. His social media account, under the name Grayson Francis Sloane, has showcased his cuddly and playful side since his debut as an eight-week-old puppy.

Federica's social media accounts are filled with ‘Grayson content’, including videos of him sitting in chairs and barstools, watching his human eat without attempting to snatch a bite, and even dressed up as a character from Breaking Bad.

This delightful story of Grayson's impeccable table manners has entertained millions and sparked a conversation about the unique personalities of our canine companions.

It's a reminder that dogs are not just pets but family members with quirks and charms.

Unfortunately, our pets aren’t always as polite as Grayson. In this story, pet owners wrote hilarious notes for their naughty pets!
