Prince Harry has reportedly "reached out to his father" to have "friendly video calls" ahead of Prince Philip's memorial service and Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee.
A source claimed that the 37-year-old Duke of Sussex has been in touch with his father for "friendly chats" and hopes to visit the UK after a recent row over the Metropolitan Police providing him and his family security has dented the possibility of the Sussexes travelling to the country.
Speaking to the Sun, the source said: "There has been a definite thaw in relations between Harry and Charles. They are on much better terms and have been having friendly chats and video calls. It has been suggested to Harry he may live to regret any lingering family bitterness, and he has taken that on board."
"There is a feeling he is coming back more into the fold and wants to be closer to his family."

It was reported that Harry refused to return to the UK without a substantial level of security from the Metropolitan Police, threatening them of filing a legal action against the Queen's government.
Harry requested to have the decision to strip him of his UK police protection team reviewed by a legal team, claiming that it will be a security threat for him to visit the country without Scotland Yard bodyguards.
The royal has since then faced outrage over his requests.
Former head of royal protection Dai Davies criticised Prince Harry, warning him that he "cannot pick and choose" when he wants to visit the UK and receive protection.
Mr Davies also pointed out that the Queen's daughter, Princess Anne, did not get full-time protection despite the fact that she was almost kidnapped and her protection officer was shot.
Insiders also suggested that Her Majesty will not aid Harry in his demand for security protection when he comes to Britain, saying: "Her Majesty has no intentions of caving in to his demand for protection from the Met and Home Office".
Meanwhile, it was said that Prince Charles was "desperate to see his grandchildren".

"The Prince of Wales has been saddened that he hasn't had the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, which he really does miss," a source said.
"He is a fantastic grandfather and loves playing the role immensely and it's certainly fair to say he feels there is something missing from his life without the ability to get to know Harry's children."
"This is something he is hoping to remedy which is why he made the gesture for Harry, Meghan and the children to stay with him if they wanted to, whenever they may come home for a period of time."
