Pricing error sends Woolworths shoppers into a frenzy, customers score trampoline for $13 despite its original price of $149.99

A recent "glitch" on the Woolworths online shopping platform has sent customers into a frenzy after the site allowed them to purchase expensive children's toys at ridiculously low prices.

Woolworths' Everyday Market, is an online marketplace for customers who are looking to find deals from brands such as Big W, Pet Culture, Dyson, and Fisher-Price, and has recently experienced a "price error glitch" where the prices of some of its big-ticket children's toys products were randomly changed to much more affordable prices.

Woolies shoppers took to social media to share their haul, with many showing off how much of a discount they got from purchasing the items during the glitch.

One mum claimed to have scored the Everfit Round Trampoline for $13 despite its original price of $149.99.

She said: “I’m in shock! The trampoline from the glitch, or whatever it was on [the] Woolworths marketplace site just rocked up! Bargain for $13!”

“Also ordered the sandpit boat for $10 which is still in transit.”

"I thought for sure they were going to cancel and refund."

Others confessed to taking advantage of the glitch, saying they bought as many items as they could while they were a "bargain".

One shopper wrote: “I got the sandpit the other day. The basketball hoop and air track blow-up mat are in transit.”

“I ordered the sandpit and kitchen and it got cancelled after I had an email saying they were in transit. Such a bargain!” another shared.

It was said, however, that while the supermarket retailer acknowledged the reduced price for many shoppers, the company cancelled some orders after learning of the pricing glitch.

A number of customers confirmed that they had their orders cancelled by the supermarket over the phone or via email.

One disappointed customer wrote: “Trampoline of mine got cancelled, two delivered, one in transit, one shipment created but it stops there.”

“I know people who have ordered things from there recently and everything got cancelled [...] One of the people I know even got a tracking number and it was still cancelled,” another unhappy shopper said.

A Woolworths spokesperson has confirmed with Yahoo Lifestyle that there was a mistake on the pricing of a number of items from its Everyday Market website.

“We are aware that a seller incorrectly priced a number of items listed for sale on Everyday Market from Woolworths," said the spokesperson.

“Any customers who purchased the items at the incorrect price have received a full refund in accordance with our terms and conditions."

The spokesperson also apologised to the customers who had their orders cancelled, saying that Everyday Market sellers have the right to reject and cancel an order if the product is unavailable or there is an error in the price or product description.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused due to the order cancellation and pricing error," the spokesperson said.

Well, it seems like some shoppers just got lucky...
