Pork Chops and Apple Cider Glaze

Are you looking for a simple yet delicious recipe for your usual dinner routine? Look no further than this recipe featuring pork chops with an apple cider glaze!

This is a speedy and delicious meal that requires minimal effort but will have your taste buds thanking you. The apple cider glaze that coats the pork chops adds an irresistible sweetness that takes all the flavours to the next level.

The best part? Its ingredients make this an easy and fuss-free recipe for busy home cooks. Try it for yourself - here’s how you can make it!

Ingredients:

6 boneless centre-cut pork chops

Salt and ground black pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 tablespoon butter (Optional)

3 cloves garlic, minced

¼ cup apple cider vinegar

2 cups apple cider

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon minced rosemary

1 pinch chilli flakes

Before we proceed, a few things: butter would add a lot of flavour to this dish, but you can skip it if you’re watching your diet or just aiming for a healthier meal. Apple cider is also different from apple cider vinegar — apple cider is closer to apple juice, while apple cider vinegar is closer to vinegar!

You know it, members! If you have all you need for the recipe, then get cooking!

Start by seasoning your pork chops with some salt and black pepper.

In a skillet, heat the oil (and butter, if you’re using it) over medium-high heat. When the oil starts to simmer, add your pork chops and cook each side for 5 to 7 minutes until they’re nicely browned and slightly pink inside. Once they’re done, take the pan off the heat and transfer the pork chops to a plate.

Throw the garlic in the pan you used earlier and place it over medium-high heat. Stir it around for 30 seconds but take care not to let the garlic brown too much as it will overpower the glaze’s taste. Add the apple cider vinegar. Scrape up any browned bits from the pan, and then add the apple cider and Dijon mustard.

Bring the mixture to a boil, so that it reduces to a thick and glossy syrup. For the final touch, mix in the rosemary and chilli flakes, followed by salt and pepper sprinkled to taste.

Put your pork chops back in the pan, but this time to warm up in the glaze for 1 to two minutes each side.

And that's how you can make a truly spectacular dish with nothing but some pork chops, pantry staples, and seasonings!

While this quick and easy recipe is perfect for busy nights, members can also use it as a winning dish to impress guests over lunch or dinner.

You can serve it with a side of mashed potato and vegetables, and the homemade restaurant-like appeal needs no introduction.
