Plastic Paratroopers

Who remembers these little legends? The classic plastic paratroopers — roll up the parachute, toss them high (or climb the roof if you were brave enough!), and watch them drift back down to Earth.

They were cheap — about 70 cents each — but the fun lasted for hours. Sometimes the parachutes would tangle or get stuck in a tree, but that was all part of the adventure!

Did you have one of these as a kid? Or maybe your parents banned roof launches after one got stuck on the power lines? 😆 Share your paratrooper memories below!

Yes I had one when I was a teenager back in the 1970's, used to be able to put water in it as a counter weight to fly it as a kite.

My brother and I would climb on the garage roof and toss them in the air, the parachute that stayed up the longest was the winner

A gutter on every house had 1 of these as a kid, and a few power lines as well.
Refresh my memory were they in show bags?
