pesky phone calls

I don't pick up the phone unless it's a number I recognise. I figure if it's a "real" phone call, they will leave a message and I can call them back. Yesterday I was getting so many annoying calls, and some were leaving messages, either not in a language I speak, or just this guy saying my name over and over…as if he didn't understand what "leave a message" means. It suddenly occurred to me that I could Google these numbers and yep. Sure enough, they were all associated with scams and spoofers. There's also a website called Reverse Phone Lookup, which I believe is free. Absolutely worth checking. I've now blocked those numbers, though I'm sure there will be more to follow.

Oh my goodness! I actually didn't know about Reverse Phone Lookup. What an absolutely useful and brilliant website to know. Thank you, @featherfour!
