Hi @Singomate, thanks for your question. We will share this in a newsletter to see whether any members can assist. In the meantime, you can find more information about Age Pension Income Limits here. We also recommend you speak with Centrelink directly on their Older Australians Line (132 300 Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm).

Hi @Singomate, as you are already only receiving a part pension (due to your wife's salary I assume), any raise (gross per fortnight) your wife receives will further reduce your pension by 25 cents in the dollar for each extra dollar she earns per fortnight(and the same for your wife if she is also receiving a part pension). As an example, if she receives a raise of $100 gross per fortnight your pension would reduce by $25 per fortnight (and if she is also receiving a part pension, hers would also reduce by $25 per fortnight). I hope that helps. Cheers, TM.

Thank you for your taking the time to answer my query.

When I was working and my husband went on the disability pension, his was reduced due to the amount I earned, I also received a carers for him which was also reduced due to me working. I had to also report every fortnight. I also had tax taken out of my wage. So the answer to your question is yes they will reduce your pension and hers if she also gets one, but you are still better off when you have the extra coming in. It is something however that Centrelink can tell you or assuming your wife has to report her income fortnightly it will be reflected in your next payment.
