pastoral Idyll of Glenbourne Park.
Dawn broke over the pastoral idyll of Glenbourne Park. The tall elms swayed in the gentle breeze and sheep grazed peacefully in the Spring warmth.
The manor house sat comfortably in the Cheshire countryside its tall chimneys and rows of sparkling sash windows suggested wealth and influence.
The quiet morning suggested another peaceful , quiet day.
In the west wing, overlooking the rolling lawns the young lady Elizabeth awoke and sat up in her luxurious bed. She shook her head so that her blond hair swung into a cascade over her shoulders. Gently she swung her perfectly formed feet out of the bed and put on her sheepskin slippers. Lazily she stood upright and walked across the heavily carpeted floor to the tall window. She pulled the heavy chintz curtains aside, looked out at the peaceful scene and said -
“Bloody hell it's pissing down again”
