Full Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1kg chicken wings (about 20 wings)
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil (or any oil of your choice)
- ½ teaspoon salt (to taste)
- ½ teaspoon pepper (to taste)
- 1 head garlic
- ¼ teaspoon oil
- Pinch of salt and pepper (to taste)
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (finely grated)
- 3 tablespoons sour cream
- Parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cut off the top of a whole head of garlic to expose the cloves. Drizzle with a little oil and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper. Wrap the garlic in foil (or parchment paper) and bake for 35-40 minutes until the garlic is caramelized and soft.
- Once cool, squeeze the garlic out of its shell into a bowl and mash or stir it. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, season the chicken wings with salt, pepper, and oil. Massage the seasoning into the wings with clean hands.
- Air-fry the wings at 380°F (190°C) for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the wings at 425°F (220°C) for about 45 minutes on a baking sheet, flipping halfway.
- Five minutes before the wings are done, melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add the grated Parmesan and the roasted garlic.
- Stir in the sour cream until the sauce becomes creamy and smooth, then remove it from heat.
- Pour the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the hot wings, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
