Overcharge on Telstra Bill - don't let it go unchallenged
Received my monthly Telstra account today which was $4.03 more than my usual bill. It came with an email advising that I had an outstanding amount on my account. Given that I have an automatic direct debit set up to pay this account, I didn't think that was likely.
I phoned them and was advised that I had a discount applied in February that they were reclaiming (I didn't). Then they told me that there had been a price increase (there hasn't been).
In the end I was given a $5.00 credit which (apparently) will appear on a future account. I will be watching for it.
If you have the same thing happen to you - don't let it go unchallenged. Call them, and insist on a refund.
