Optical illusion in wheelie bin leaves TikTok user terrified – can you see it too?

Sammi Jorgensen was just going about her day and watching her dogs outside from the kitchen window when she suddenly experienced a moment of pure terror.
While she was looking out the window, she took a quick glance at the partially open lid of her garbage can. And that's when she saw something unsettling, and it appeared to be staring right at her as well!
She was shivering so badly that she had to get her phone out of her pocket as quickly as possible to record what she saw in the trash bin. And after watching the footage, we have no choice but to admit that it gave us the chills too!
In the images that can be seen below, what appears to be the head of a dead tabby cat is shown in an upside-down position, with its eyes completely open and fixed on the direction of the camera.

"So, I just had a straight-up panic attack," Sammi said in the clip. "I was watching the dogs and I saw something looking at me in the trash can. Do you see it? It looks like a freakin' dead cat."
To everyone's relief (including ours), she clarified a little bit later that it was not actually a deceased pet at all. When examined more closely, it turned out to be nothing more than a printed photo of a cat on a bag of cat food.
"It looks just like one of my cats too, so it was full panic before I did a head count," she went on to say.
Sammi's video quickly went viral on the internet, with over 750,000 people watching the creepy moment. Clearly, she wasn't the only one who assumed a long-dead cat had returned to haunt the neighbourhood…
"I was about to go into cardiac arrest," one viewer admitted in the comments section, with a second one agreeing and adding, "I would be running out there screaming and my neighbours would think I'm absolutely insane."
Others even asked Sammi if she was really sure that what they were looking at wasn’t actually an optical illusion.
"Are you sure?!" one user wrote, followed by, "I'm still panicking!"
What do you think, folks? Did the photos give you a fright as well? We were pretty scared there for a moment, that's for sure…
