Olympic High Diving Board Competition

Paddy was the last highboard diver of the event. He climbed to the highest board and readied himself with his tiptoes just on the edge of the platform, facing the steps, with his back to the water.

He quickly raises his hands high into the air with force, this gives him the added impetus as he leaps into the air. He then brings his knees up to his nose in a curl and jack knifes into a double forward somersault. Then Paddy does two and a half twist's, to be facing the other end of the pool. Paddy then does two backward arching revolutions, that had never been seen before and he enters the water without a ripple on the surface.

The crowd goes berserk with emotion, clapping, whistling and chanting Gold! Gold! Gold! Paddy exits the pool with tears streaming down his face and dries himself off as he waits for the judges to hold up their score numbers out of ten.

The crowd is going wild poolside! The judges put up their scores 6.5, 7.0, 5.5, 6.5, 7.5, and 6.0. The crowd is booing and jeering the judges with anger!

Paddy goes to the judges and says, "Why did you give me the lowest score in the competition? It was the best dive I have ever done. Look at the crowd response; it was fantastic!!"

The chief judge said, "The dive execution was the best ever seen in any Olympics!! But your presentation was abysmal!" Paddy replied, "And how do you work that out?"

The chief diving judge said, "The top two buttons of your industrial Donkey jacket were undone!!!"
