Old wood stove​

Living in the country South of Perth, I remember these classic wood burning stoves. Apart from their obvious use, they were a great way to help keep the kitchen warm. One hazard, of course, was that there was little, or no way of controlling the hot plate temperature. Needless to say, burns were the norm for unwary individuals. Being a wood burner, however, like today's modern gas ovens, Webers etc, the Sunday roast was always the best - cheers Toad
