Hi members!

Member Simon P. has given us a glimpse into history with photos of his grandfather Percy Furner’s Hardware shop in Camden, NSW.

The first photo takes us right into the heart of the shop itself, where Percy Furner stands.



Here, we have Simon’s mum on the right and his aunt on the left.



The third photo reveals the shop’s exterior, giving us a glimpse of what it must have been like to visit the store back in the day.​

I miss the old hardware stores where you could buy a certain amount of screws, bolts etc. Now I need two nuts and bolts but now I have to buy a packet of ten, use the two and put the rest away which I'll never need and if I do will never find them again. Ah for the good old days (I've turned into my mum who was forever saying that lol)
