Old Fashioned Kids Birthday Partys 🥳

Remember when kids birthday party's were made up of fairy bread, chocolate crackles and party pies . And hats and blowing things
But now those parties are held not at home but in play centres ect. No more party hats and novelty toys.

I can only remember having one Birthday Party. I would have been about 5 or 6, I invited friends from my class and all my cousins turned up. It was so exciting and I had been looking forward to it for what seemed like ages. When the time came for the party to start and all the kids were gathered I suddenly got overwhelmed by the whole thing and just sat in a corner. I refused to talk to anyone and had a thoroughly awful time. The rest of the kids had an excellent time eating and playing games. After they had all left I cried that my party had been spoiled. I never had another one, I don't think my parents could cope!!

You know that happens alot to not only kids but adults.
I'm looking forward to going away with the whole family beginning of June for my daughters wedding but I know she isn't going to cope with all the people she doesn't know that will be there

When we were young there wasn't a lot of money around for extras like parties but Mum always made it a special day with treats like ice cream and spiders (drinks) that were not an everyday item like today. I recall I had a big birthday party at age 11 and Mum was exhausted at the end and said never again! It was a great party with special food and my best friends there I loved it.
