Old canvas water bag
We always had one of these on the front of our car when we went anywhere back in the 50s and 60s. My uncles who had cars had them as well. The water was always cool to drink, but had a canvas bag taste. It was refreshing on a hot day. Sometimes if the car overheated the water was tipped into the radiator, then we had none to drink, but at least we could get home in the car and not have to walk.
