Remember when the sizzling summer afternoons were spent grilling burgers and hotdogs on one of these iconic grills? They used to be a big, rugged part of the backyard but were the star of family gatherings and outdoor feasts. These grills cooked the best-tasting BBQs. Do you remember cooking on these old barbecues? Tell us here.

Looks like the one we built in tassie it was a beauty. 😋😋

Used to love my BBQ that I built in my backyard in Melbourne.....especially with friends around on a Saturday afternoon with the football blaring and having a cold beer or three with the boys.....great times and the food always seemed to taste so much better when it was cooked outside with the smell of burning wood through it......great days.....even more so if Collingwood won......then the music was cranked up for the evening party afterward......what fun indeed. 😉

Oh how I waited for my hubby to build one of these in the early eighties in our new home💕💕Concreter poured the slab,up in a raised section of the back yard with panoramic.I planted the appropriate palm trees either side that would look beautiful and give lovely shade!!
17 years later,he still hadn't built it,we downsized to a three bedroom townhouse,he went to Bunnings and came back with an electric one...Of course this eventually rusted and now he purchased a electric plug in one with 2 sides that can be wiped down with a paper towel and closed up like a giant toastie machine at only $300🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Waited so long they are no longer in fashion and on our REMEMBER page
