Nutritionist reveals the one afternoon treat you can feel good about eating — here’s how you can make it at home!

This nutritionist just created the most delicious rice cake dessert and we can't get enough!

Chloe Boddy, a nutritionist and food blogger who's currently pursuing a career in dietetics, recently shared her take on the popular loaded rice cake dessert trend.

In her Instagram post, Chloe revealed her simple, "better-for-you" version of the chocolate-covered peanut butter and 'jelly' rice cake, allowing social media users (and us mere mortals) to enjoy the heavenly treat without feeling guilty about consuming excess calories.

Also, this heavenly concoction is made with just four simple ingredients: rice cake, peanut butter, raspberries, and melted chocolate of your choice.

And it's so easy to make, even the most culinary-challenged among us can whip it up with ease.

Here's how it's done:

First, place a spoonful of raspberries on the rick cake and mash them using a spoon.

Next, pour some peanut butter on top of the treat and spread it evenly.

Then, pour the melted chocolate and spread until the top is covered with it.

Finally, place the treat in the fridge or freezer to set.

Once the treats harden, they are ready to serve!

Social media users gushed over the recipe, with many expressing their keenness to try it themselves.

One person wrote: "I have watched this five times, it looks delicious."

"My favourite kind of trend," another said.

A third chimed in: "Those layers! This sounds amazing."

Chloe also explained the health benefits of the treat, saying: "Water is great for hydration, but it can’t replace the calories you burn or the electrolytes you sweat out, and it doesn’t provide any protein for muscle-repairing."

"Chocolate milk is a natural choice when it comes to electrolytes, providing many of the same electrolytes that are added to commercial recovery drinks."

"It also contains around 8g of protein in every glass. Additionally, If you’re worried about the sugar from the chocolate, don’t; that extra sugar brings that carbs-to-protein ratio up to the ideal ratio for post-workout recovery."

So, if you're looking for a delicious and easy dessert to make, definitely give this one a try! Are you looking forward to making this treat? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!
