Here at SDC, we understand how important it is to stay in touch with the latest food trends - that's why it puts a smile on our faces when we hear that a sweet snack many people love is making its way to our Aussie shores.
The Nutella Biscuits, hailing from Italy, have been a beloved treat in Europe for years. But now, there's no need to book a flight or pay shipping fees to enjoy them.
We are happy to inform you that starting January 9th, these iconic biscuits have hit the shelves of all major Australian supermarkets and convenience stores. So now, you can enjoy the delicious taste of Nutella Biscuits right from the comfort of your home.
These biscuits are a must-try for all Nutella lovers out there and for those who love to munch on something sweet and chocolatey. They are perfect for satisfying your cravings, whether as a breakfast companion or as an afternoon snack. They are also great to share with your friends and family.
The Nutella Biscuits are the perfect marriage of two crisp shortbread cookies and a heavenly filling of Nutella chocolate. The cookies themselves might be small, but don't let that fool you - they pack a big punch of flavour.
Some people underestimate the size, but trust us, one taste and you'll be hooked. The Nutella filling is so decadent and delicious, you might find yourself reaching for another one...and another one...and before you know it, you've devoured 4 or 5 biscuits in one sitting - they're truly that irresistible!
All for just $6 for a bag of 14!
It's no wonder Aussies were delighted to hear the news and wasted no time in expressing their excitement online.
'My diet is out the window!' one person said in a social media post, with another commenting and tagging their friends: 'You must get these if you see them!'
One Nutella fan even admitted to paying high prices to import them from Europe in the past.
'Finally! I've been getting these online for ages now. I hope they are much cheaper than what I've been paying for them, but they are literally so addictive,' they explained.
The news was also posted on Instagram by a convenience store in Sydney's inner-city that has become famous for stocking the popular Nutella Biscuits, as well as the wafer Nutella B-ready chocolate bars.
Members, be sure to grab them before they all disappear off the shelves!
The iconic Nutella spread is already a household name in Australia (second only to the beloved Vegemite, of course). It's one of those pantry staples that Aussies - especially those with a sweet tooth - usually stock up on as soon as they run out!
If you're craving Nutella but haven't been able to get your hands on the popular Nutella Biscuits, don't worry! We've got you covered with this homemade Nutella snack recipe that will surely satisfy your cravings.
Plus, it's a recipe that even the grandkids can help with, and we guarantee you'll all love the final product. So, don't fret; just gather your family and start whipping up this Nutella goodness.

Baked cinnamon doughnuts with Nutella filling
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 40 g butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup Nutella
- 1/3 cup caster sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 40 g butter (melted)
Here's how to make it:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced) and grease a 12-hole patty tin with melted butter.
- Sift together the dry ingredients in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the egg, milk and melted butter and whisk until well combined. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and fold them together.
- Divide two-thirds of the mixture among the prepared patty tin, and gently spoon a little Nutella on top of each hole. Cover with remaining mixture.
- Bake for 10 minutes or until golden and cooked through. For the cinnamon sugar coating, mix the caster sugar and cinnamon together and let the doughnuts cool a little in the pan before turning out, brushing with the melted butter. Toss with the cinnamon sugar and serve!
