Brisbane's airwaves are prepared to welcome a fresh presence as a famous radio station just announced a new addition to one of their beloved shows.


Nova 106.9 welcomed comedian and television personality Nikki Osborne to their breakfast show.

Osborne, known for her sharp wit and engaging presence, is no stranger to the spotlight.

With a career in stand-up comedy and appearances on popular Australian TV shows How To Stay Married and Dancing with the Stars, Osborne is ready to entertain Brisbane's early risers.


'I have big flippers to fill, but I'm confident Brisbane will warm to my ways,' Osborne quipped.

'Sure, I get in trouble a bit, but I've got two big brothers in Ash and Luttsy. I have no doubt they'll steer me even further off course!'

Osborne shared her excitement about joining the breakfast show.

'I love Brisbane. I grew up here, and I look forward to having a good laugh with our listeners in this amazing city,' said the mother of two.


The transition came after Olympian-turned-host Susie O'Neill announced her departure from the show.

Affectionately known as 'Madame Butterfly', O'Neill's voice became a staple for Brisbane locals' morning routine.

Her tearful goodbye from the show touched the hearts of fans and colleagues alike.

'For a lot of the time, it has been more than just a job,' O'Neill reflected during her announcement.

Her tenure on the show also became a sanctuary, a place where she could 'just be myself and be present and enjoy it'.

O'Neill's final day will be on Thursday, 28 November, and will dedicate her newfound free time to community involvement.


Nikki Osborne will be joining Ash Bradnam and David 'Luttsy' Lutteral starting 20 January.

The new addition to the trio promised to bring her unique humour and relatability to the airwaves.
