Not so Hot Cross Buns
As a single pensioner, I cannot wear the lack of consideration by Woolies and Coles where they price things lower if you buy two instead of one. Take Hot Cross Buns, for example. $6.00 for two packs (of six), $4.00 for one. I'm unlikely to finish one pack in a week and I don't feel inclined to be a guts and eat two but I really object to having to pay extra (more than 30%) for less, especially as times are tighter now than ever. This same model is applied to many items in store and, now, whenever I see this sort of "special", I automatically make a point of bypassing it. Why would I buy 2 things when I'm trying to cut costs and can't afford to "stock up"?
