What's the secret to making the perfect chocolate truffles?

You want to aim for a mixture that isn't not too try, yet not too wet, so you can roll them into little spheres. You may need to add a little extra condensed milk if the mixture is too dry. You can also use milk arrowroot biscuits instead of Marie biscuits, if you like. To make these a little more festive come Christmas time you can add around a 1 tablespoon of rum, Baileys or your favourite liqueur to the mixture.

How do you wrap truffles or rum balls for edible gifts?

These look delicious when popped into cellophane bags and tied with a ribbon for an edible gift, or stored in clean glass jars. You can get creative with fabric jar lid covers too.
