New Scam!​

2 weeks ago I received a phone call from a local area, whereas I usually don't answer calls from unknown sources. This one told me that as I had entered a draw for shopping money I was the weekly winner &I had won a cooked dinner for me & my family in our own home.

The date was set for Saturday 17th of September. Last Saturday to be precise, I was also given the firm's phone number to ring if the date was unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances.

Well after cleaning the oven & a food preparation area & having my grand-daughter come home, especially for the meal.

I waited with bated breath for 5.30 to arrive. No chef or a phone call to explain why the non-appearance.

I know I lost no money in this scam except for the KFC I had to buy as I had not taken anything out for tea.

But the second part of the scam may be another thing as I was told I was in the running for the big prize of $500.00. But no one will get my bank details now.

As I rang the phone number this morning & couldn't be connected as it is a false number. Just a friendly warning for your readers so no one gets caught like me & disappointed not to get a free meal.

I know we can fall for scams easily because of greed but this was because I needed something nice to happen for me at 84.

Oh, @Nana Zorak... Reading this made my heart ache. I'm so sorry for the false hope... I can't imagine how disappointing it must be.
