New Film About Prince Andrew's DISASTER BBC Interview In the Works

According to recent reports from various news and media outlets, the controversial BBC interview with Prince Andrew back in 2019 is going to be adapted into a full-length film.
The Newsnight interview where Prince Andrew spoke of his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender, made headlines all over the world and has been dubbed one of the worst moments in royal history.
The movie will be called Scoops, and it will be based on the book Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC's Most Shocking Interviews, written by Sam McAlister.
There are rumours that the storyline of the movie will dramatise the process that the show went through in order to secure the interview, as well as the filming of it and what went on behind the scenes.

In the interview with host Emily Maitlis, Andrew refuted allegations that he had sex with Virginia Giuffre, who had been trafficked three times by Epstein, once while she was still a minor and twice while she was 17 years old.
In one of the incidents, Virginia claimed that Andrew was heavily dripping with sweat while they were dancing in a nightclub in London. The Duke, however, infamously insisted that the story couldn't be true because he couldn't sweat due to a medical condition.
With Ghislaine Maxwell's recent imprisonment and accusations from her victims that the Duke and other Epstein associates are hiding 'behind power and prestige,' Andrew was put under increased pressure.
He also stated in the 2019 interview that he would 'help' any relevant law enforcement agency with their investigations; however, multiple news outlets have reported that this is not the case.
Despite the fact that Andrew has consistently denied the allegations, the two parties were able to reach an out-of-court settlement that was worth millions of dollars.
This led to the disgraced royal's withdrawal from public life.

The Lighthouse Film & Television, a production company founded two years ago by Hilary Salmon, Radford Neville, and Nick Betts, is working with celebrated screenwriter Peter Moffat on the Scoops script.
The recent confirmation of the news came from Moffat and Salmon, who both told Deadline that production will start right away.
The plan is to start shooting in November. Even though there isn't a director yet and casting hasn't started, pitches have been made to some agents, and it's speculated that Hugh Grant will play the Duke of York.
However, in a tweet from his official Twitter account, the actor denied the claims. 'No, I'm not. Never heard of it,' he wrote.
One of the veteran actor's representatives confirmed: 'Hugh has never heard of this project.'
What are your thoughts, folks? Are you looking forward to watching this film and getting the inside 'scoop'? Let us know in the comments!
