Neighbours is finally back on Australian TV, and here are the surprises you can expect!

With a promise of tantalising drama, fresh storylines and a reunion of some of our favourite Ramsay Street residents, our beloved suburban soap Neighbours has made its thrilling return to Australian television screens!
So, heat up your tea and get comfy in your favourite armchair because you're in for a riveting evening of entertainment.
In February of last year, Fremantle Media announced that Neighbours, after an illustrious 37-year run, would be bidding a tearful goodbye as the show’s producers were unable to secure a deal with other broadcasters.
They also shared having financial issues due to ‘the loss of our key broadcast partner in the UK’.
It is believed that Britain’s Channel 5 network has paid for the majority of the show’s production costs.
The following month, more than 1.5 million Aussies and 3 million Brits tuned in to bid farewell to the likes of Kylie Minogue, Guy Pearce, and Jason Donovan on the final season of the show.
But Neighbours couldn't stay away for long—it has returned to Australian television screens Monday evening, September 18!
But how did this fortunate turn of events come about?
We have the wonders of modern technology and streaming sites to thank for breathing new life into our beloved Ramsay Street saga!
Four months after the curtains closed, Fremantle Australia and Amazon partnered to bring back the iconic Aussie show to stream via Prime Video in Australia and across the pond on Amazon Freevee in the US and the UK.
The new series will also air on Channel 10 and 10 Peach.
When do the episodes air?
From the comfort of your own home, you can catch all-new episodes of Neighbours starting Monday evening, September 18, at 4:30 p.m. AEST on Channel 10. The episode will have an encore at 6:30 p.m. on 10 Peach.
You'll also be able to immerse yourself in fresh new stories and familiar faces from Ramsay Street Monday to Friday at 4:30 p.m. on Channel 10, with daily encores at 6:30 p.m. on 10 Peach.
You can also stream the series on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, and South Africa.

Who will we be seeing on our screens?
Rumour has it that we'll be welcoming home a number of fan favourites to Ramsay Street, including Dr Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Jane Harris (Annie Jones), Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), and of course, Leo Tanaka (Tim Kano).
The list doesn't stop there!
Alongside these cherished characters, we'll also be getting to know a gaggle of newcomers and pop-ins from beloved Guy Pearce (Mike Young) and Ian Smith (Harold Bishop).
Rumour mills are also churning with the announcement that OC starlet Mischa Barton will be making her appearance as the mysterious new character Reece Sinclair.
For those of you who grew fond of Barton during her stint as Marissa Cooper on the hit show The OC, buckle up because her character Reece is described as 'dynamic and unpredictable'.
'I’m excited to be part of this iconic show's next chapter, and I am really looking forward to being back in Australia, a place I know and love!' Mischa Barton said in a statement.
'I think the character of Reece is going to be a great role for me to explore and play with.'
