Perth families are about to welcome a world-famous name in kids’ entertainment.
After months of anticipation, an official launch date has finally been locked in.
Now, all eyes are on Western Australia as the global franchise prepares to make history.
Chuck E. Cheese confirmed it would open its first Australian location in Perth on 6 September.
The launch followed months of speculation, with locals eagerly awaiting details of what the new venue would offer.
In partnership with the WA-based Royale Hospitality Group, the flagship store would span 1,622 square metres.
It promised more than 100 of the latest arcade games, an interactive light-up dance floor, and a full-service restaurant.
Menu items were set to include American-style favourites like pizza, fresh salads, unicorn churros and Dippin Dots.
There would also be VIP rooms available for children’s birthday parties.
A central attraction of the venue was the Adventure Zone—a multi-storey playground packed with inflatable boats, a giant ball pit, warrior-style obstacle courses, a spiral slide, and a six-metre-high climbing wall.
To top it off, there would be a ‘recharge zone’ for parents in need of a break.
Christian Beaden, General Manager at Royale Hospitality Group, said: ‘Perth has a strong culture for family entertainment, so bringing Chuck E. Cheese to Australia is incredibly exciting—we can't wait for families to experience the fun, games, and great food that have made it famous around the world.
‘We're all about creating unforgettable family memories, and we know that Aussie kids and parents are going to love it!’
Mario Centola, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of International Operations and Chuck E. Cheese Worldwide Franchise Development, added: ‘For nearly 50 years, Chuck E. Cheese has been at the heart of family entertainment in the U.S., bringing smiles to the faces of millions of children each year.
‘We are thrilled to introduce this iconic experience to Australian families! This launch is a significant milestone for our growing global brand, and we can't wait to see Aussies embracing the magic of Chuck E. Cheese.’
The Perth opening would mark the company’s 600th location, joining its presence across 16 other countries.
If you’ve ever wondered how a new entertainment venue might be received in your own neighbourhood, this next story offers an interesting perspective.
While some welcome fresh ideas for family fun, others aren’t so sure about the noise, traffic, or changes these places might bring.
Here’s how one community responded when a themed activity centre popped up in their area.
