The photo of the dunny man took me back to a time during my National Service, my first overseas posting was to Jerusalem from where we departed the day before it became Israel, my regiment was sent to a camp at Quassasin in Egypt and the toilets were quite a distance from the tented area, they consisted of small drums cut in half and riveted together to form a longer line with wooden seats fitted on top with a tap at one end to wash away the waste, now comes the end of my story, sometimes you would get a warm welcome because someone would screw up a newspaper set it on fire turn on the tap and float it down the tube,
