With the banana skins and lettuce do you compost them first ? Egg shelks are another thing that is good for the garden. No tips really Sethia...I just plant, fertilise with anything natural including banana and lettuce scraps and I try to keep my soil airated and conditioned all year round with water saving crystals dug into the soil and weekly doses of worm wee....I deadhead after flowering and if they die I replace it...cheers
Hi Suzanne rose....I just chop up the banana peels and the lettuce finely and sprinkle it on the vegetable garden...no composting first...I also do the same with egg shells...everything else goes into the tumbler with leaf matter and soilWith the banana skins and lettuce do you compost them first ? We have 5 barrels that we add fruit n vegie scraps to, then after awhile it turns into a rich compost which is amazing for the garden .
