Mum gets surprised with MASSIVE McDonald’s delivery after her 2-year-old son accidentally orders them online

It seems like children these days are smarter than we give them credit for! A mum found out the hard way when her two-year-old son took her phone and ordered 31 cheeseburgers from McDonald’s.

Kelsey Burkhalter Golden’s son Barrett, 2, was playing with the camera on his mum’s phone but wound up finding the DoorDash app and making an order.

The mum took to Facebook on Sunday to share that she has “31 free cheeseburgers from McDonald’s if anyone is interested”.

“Apparently my two-year-old knows how to order DoorDash,” she said.

Kelsey also shared a photo of her son sitting at a table and gulping some cheeseburgers next to a huge pile of McDonald's burgers.

The mum said that it cost her a total of $91.70 for the lunchtime treat, along with a $16 tip for the delivery driver.

Kelsey admitted that she did not think that her son would be able to make a huge order, confessing that she let him play with her phone while she was using her computer and thinking that he would only be playing with the camera.

She quipped: “He usually likes to take pictures of himself, and so he was doing that. I thought I’d locked the phone but apparently, I didn’t, because then DoorDash came with 31 cheeseburgers.”

“I didn’t know what to do with them, he only ate half of one, so I posted on a community page on Facebook here in Kingsville and asked if anybody wanted some.”

The mum also said that she's hoping that the mishap will not happen again, saying: “I guess I need to hide the app or something because DoorDash is not protected.”

Kelsey also said that some of the burgers were taken in by some nearby friends.

“There’s somebody coming in 10 minutes to pick some up, but I don’t know how many she wants,” she said.

Another prime example of the reason why little children should not have access to devices for any length of time!

That why I don't have that sort of thing on my phone - I can't even order from it.

Definitely don't agree with letting very young children play with your personal phone & this serves as a good example why. If he can do this he could also wipe precious data too. Surely this mother had an old phone which could be adapted for the toddler to only take photos of himself. No good just (quote) 'hoping it will never happen again.' 'Pre-warned is pre-armed' or 'Once bitten twice shy.'

I agree with SGH, serves her damn right. Never have I ever given or will give a phone to a child of any age to play with or be used as a babysitting device. I never had one and nor did my children and they have a lot more appreciation for the world around them. All devices of any description are banned in my home when my grandchildren come to stay. They do normal things instead like board games, cards, play outside, colour in and use their imagination. On train/bus/car rides we play I Spy and find certain objects outside the windows and I read them books.

Hahahahaha. This story made my day!! I'm assuming the store didn't have much security if they were able to make it all the way home. How old were they at the time?
