Miami Milkbar

Do you have any fond memories of visiting milk bars? During the 1960s, Miami Milkbar in Cronulla Beach, New South Wales, was a popular spot for surfers to grab burgers and milkshakes. Many people have fond memories of the place—from playing pinball for the first time to drinking milkshakes out of metal containers.

I remember this well. My sister was dating a guy who lived in Cronulla and I used to tag along with them to go swimming on some weekends. She married him and they lived there for some time. We used to do the sand hills near there also. It was a fun and safe time for all.

Yes, fond memories enjoying a cold drink and sandwiches with my Mum. We had a frozen drink called orange freeze. Later on enjoyed hanging out with friends before a movie, with either a milkshake (yes in metal container) or lunch and ice cream in my early 20's. Country town NSW run by Greeks. Great times!
