Who remembers riding these old-school Merry-Go-Rounds? Spinning them so fast until you were dizzy enough to lose your lunch! They were dangerous, but you just couldn’t get enough! Did you survive the chaos or take a tumble? Share your wildest memories here.

I hated this contraption, I have always suffered from motion sickness and IF ever I rode on one I would always end up spewing, that photo brought Back some horrible memories.😂😂😂🤪
PS
We drove to our son’s place for Christmas, he lives on the central coast nsw. it takes about 3 hours to get there, guess what I got sick needing a plastic bag. When will this affliction end? after all I am 74.🤮😂😂😂😂😂😡

We played on one painted all different colours- thought we were the bees knees. Some friends fell off now and then but lucky just to have some scrapes and bruises. People forget these were the playgrounds of our time and we couldn't have imagined what is around now.

I remember that abd how we would jump off it while it was spinning.

We never had one at school but all the parks around us had them.

I also remember a few friends breaking their arms on it

I loved the big old metal ones, unheard of now days, everything is plastic, even the old slippery slide is shorter and plastic.

My tale about the Merry-Go-Round is pretty embarrassing.
My son use to go to Circus school in Perth on Friday nights, my daughter and I would sit outside on the Merry-Go-Round just spinning and chatting away, she would have been about 7 then.
Well this one night my belly decided to play up, i'm so glad there were no people that we could see around because I accidently passed wind, not a small little noise but a big jumbo jet type noise. Because we were on the Swan River it bounced onto the water and you could hear the noise as it moved along. I often wonder what people thought it was further down the river, i'm surprised "an unusual noise hit the Swan last night" didn't make the news.
My daughter has never forgotten it, she often tells the tale to her friends, much to my embarrassment 😂

I remember them very well. One day I was spinning around and it suddenly stopped, leaving all my front teeth face backwards when I hit the handle . Luckily they were my baby teeth and didn't affect my adult ones.
