Member's Question: 'Can we get solar panels replaced at a lower cost?'

Hey there, members!

We’re wrapping up the week with another round of our ‘Members Helping Members’ segment: your space to share tips, advice, and a little wisdom with each other.

For today, here's a question from member @Terese :

We have had hot water solar panels for approx 10 years, they are now failing. Can we get them replaced at NIL cost as penioners. I hear that there are a load of rebates out there.

There are also ads suggesting that solar panels & battery can also be rebated to NIL. is this true or just marketing ploys

Ccenterlink are offering pensioners a $250 replacement more efficient hot water system hope this helps

I think centerlink offer a $250 hot water system that is a lot better than solar, if you contact centerlink they will help you

Have your solar panels cleaned and inspected cost depends on amount of panels, we have 24 and cost to clean etc. $180. AGL has best tariff feed in rates on VIP plan. Lots of company's offering new system with battery with varying rebates.
