In a turn of events that has sent ripples through the culinary world, a familiar face on the popular cooking show MasterChef UK has stepped down from his role amidst an ongoing investigation into misconduct allegations.

The Sun highlighted past incidents, including a 2018 episode where he was accused of making inappropriate comments and boasting about personal escapades.

Although he was cleared of sexual misconduct at that time, the recurrence of such allegations paints a troubling picture.

In response to the recent claims, Wallace reiterated that his comments were not sexual and expressed his love for his wife, Anne-Marie Sterpini, whom he married in 2016.

He also stated that his departure from the show Inside The Factory was to focus on his autistic son, Sid, rather than due to misconduct allegations.

‘The allegations were investigations six years ago, and my comments were found to be not sexual.’ he said.

‘I repeat, not sexual. Thank you everybody for your time.’

‘I don’t want anybody to misunderstand this and make it look like I was flirting with somebody. Nobody accused me of that, and I never have.’


The BBC has stated that it takes any issues raised seriously and has robust processes to deal with them.

It has also stressed that any behaviour not meeting the BBC's standards will not be tolerated, whether the individual is contracted directly by the BBC or by an external production company.
