A lucky Kmart shopper who goes by the name of @claudiashops recently revealed that she found the 'biggest sale ever' with an entire section full of items marked down to just 50 cents.

The excited Gold Coast shopper said she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw a massive cage chock-full of everyday items discounted to a mere 50 cents each. In a video, she narrates the experience, saying, 'Go check your Kmarts! Apparently, it’s clearance time! Come with me as I found the biggest Kmart sale ever!'

Claudia went on to mention that a Kmart worker was continuously bringing out 'trolleys' brimming with heavily reduced items, all priced at 50 cents. The helpful worker even cheerfully offered this remark, 'I’m going back for more trolleys; you can wait here if you want.'

The eagle-eyed shopper snagged a variety of items and on this shopping spree, her entire haul tallied up to a mere $10! She was so excited to share her incredible find with fellow bargain hunters, saying, 'That’s just crazy to me.'

Now, we have to give you a disclaimer: sales at Kmart may vary from store to store, and there's no guarantee that each one will offer the same 50-cent deals as the lucky shopper we just mentioned. Nevertheless, it's worth checking out your local Kmart for potential markdowns.

As for our excited bargain hunter, she specifically mentioned finding these spectacular offers at the Kmart Southport on the Gold Coast. An employee there has revealed that many stores could be reducing items over the coming days to get rid of overstock.

Tips for Finding Clearance Deals at Kmart and Other Retailers

As tempting as it is to jump at the first 50-cent deal you come across, it pays to take a moment to familiarise yourself with the clearance process.

Just like any other shopping, it's always worth checking the quality of the items you are buying, examining the packaging, reading labels to ensure expiry dates, and ensuring none of the items are damaged. Generally speaking, clearance sales are discounted for a reason, either because the shop is trying to make space for new stock or the manufacturer has marked these items due to minor defects.

Shop-savvy shoppers know that it's all about timing and luck when it comes to scoring a clearance deal. If your local stores often rules out such offers, one trick is to visit Kmart when it is least crowded, such as early in the morning or late at night. This gives you the opportunity to take your time going through the items on sale and pick out the ones that are worth taking home.

Social media platforms like Facebook are great sources to find out when the latest deals happen. Many members of the bargain-hunting community often share tips and tricks on how to snag the best discounts around town. Following key accounts and hashtags like #kmartsale, #cheapestkmartsale, and #aussiesale can be a great way to stay up-to-date on the big sales.

I am an early morning shopper and last year I got a full length black puffer jacket, with hood and zipper down the front reduced from $50 to $2.....there were about 4 of them on a clearance rack and the only one left was a size 8. I grabbed it as I could see by the look of it it would fit me even though I am a 12/14. Best buy I have ever had anywhere

Lost count of the times I've picked up something marked as my size only to find it's bigger or smaller, apparently Chinese kids can't read tape measures.

Puffer jacket/coat are designed to go over a lot of clothes so that when you get indoors you take them off.
