Hi, here are the $3.99 deals included in the article:

(For Spa Lovers) Luxury Hand Cream 100ml, $3.99

(For Outdoor Entertainers) Assorted Joie Ice Trays, $3.99
Well,.......
now after some searching, it seems your article is VERY similar to this one, announced on the web, one day before your article was published

the layout, structure, and pics, are VERY similar!! An article, written by someone else!! Please explain ?

Also, some proof reading would have picked up, (what i thought) was an obvious error!!

Aldi $3.99 gift set to fly off shelves: Last-minute Christmas buys

You omitted the word "gift" from your heading !! Ah, it makes sense now!!

and the only "Gift" i can see, is the Lacure Luxury 100ml Hand Cream, $3.99, and, ok, maybe the Joie Ice Trays at $3.99

Hey @DavidC57, how are you going?

You are absolutely right, our article is very similar to the Yahoo article here - https://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/aldi-christmas-gift-guide-last-minute-buys-220057307.html, as well as the article 7News and news.com.au did on this Aldi announcement as well. We base a lot of our content off existing content like most publications do. We do our research across multiple news sites, Facebook posts, business announcements (I.e. in this scenario, we went to the Aldi website to find their announcement of the sale) etc.

We usually disclose this by linking the articles in which we derive a lot of our information from in our own articles as we never want our members to think we are taking credit for someone else's work, we would absolutely never take credit for work that is not ours. We made an error yesterday by not linking this story back to one of the articles we derived a bit of information from which was in fact the Yahoo article and we are terribly sorry for this error. If you look at all our other articles you will see that we always link back to another article and we haven't made this error before.

As for Aldi paying us to do the article, we would never accept money to write an article. We don't believe this is ethical. We only have two sponsors at the moment which we make very clear are sponsored posts in our daily newsletter. They are our health insurance comparison partner 'Compare Club' and our Hearing Aid partner 'Hearing Aid Finder'.

I am so sorry that you feel mislead. We stuffed up and we take 100% ownership of this mistake! We genuinely only bring content to our daily newsletter and website that we believe is of interest / benefit to our members. The reason we thought this article was good is because there are some really great items in store at Aldi this week that start off at $3.99, which we think is a pretty good deal for our members.

Anywho! Like I said we are really sorry about this and myself along with the rest of the team will make sure this never happens again. I also want to just take a second to thank you for calling us out. Please continue to hold us account if there is ever any issues, we want our members to be happy with the content we deliver and if you're ever disappointed you should always let us know.

Cheers David and hopefully this clears everything up.

Thanks!
Maddie.

@DavidC57 please know I have now linked the Yahoo article in our article, but will obviously leave all our comments here for full transparency. Also in case any one else saw the similarities and want clarification on how our content writing works :)

Thanks!
Maddie.
