Make greasy appliances a thing of the past with these cleaning hacks!

We love her work here at the SDC, that’s why the ‘Home Hacks Queen’ is back and here again to share with us more of her household tips and tricks!

Previously, Carolina revealed that she has been using an all-natural DIY multi-purpose cleaning spray made from a few lemon peels, some vinegar, and water. As we already know, this product is super effective and budget-friendly.

Now, hold on to those lemons because it's time to use them again as she’s back with more natural cleaning hacks. This time, we are taking a trip to the kitchen!

The first hack takes care of your greasy appliances, just like her toasted sandwich maker.

Here, she mixes equal amounts of water and vinegar in a spray bottle and proceeds to spritz and spray the solution to remove the grime from the hot plates.

Then, she wipes the leftover grease with a hand towel (or you can use kitchen tissue). Since the spray solution is made from natural ingredients, it’s safe to use on appliances that handle your food.

The next hack is an easy (not to mention, sweet-smelling) solution for cleaning hard-seated grease and burnt food in the microwave.

Here, Carolina gets out her beloved lemons. In a small heat-proof bowl, she combines equal amounts of lemon juice and water. Don’t put those squeezed lemons to waste, Carolina suggests chucking them in the bowl too!

Then she pops the bowl inside the microwave and steams it for five minutes, letting the vapour coat the walls of the microwave interior. Watch the gross grease and grime simply wipe away!

For a spotless clean dishwasher, all she needed was one ingredient: vinegar!

Here, she places one cup of vinegar inside the dishwasher and proceeds to run a quick cycle, letting the liquid ingredient do its job of disinfecting the appliance and cutting through the built-up grime and grease.

And now for the kitchen appliance that we’re sure many of us here find very troublesome to clean – the air fryer!

Here, Carolina simply uses a combination of baking soda and dish soap. After adding the two in the fryer rack, she pours boiling water (be careful while pouring the water, folks!) to the mixture and lets it sit for a while.

After rinsing, the tray is almost brand-new again. Who would have thought?
