In the digital age, telco networks serve as our lifeline to the world.
We rely on these services to access important information, access our records, or connect with loved ones in faraway places.
In a move that's set to revolutionise the mobile experience, a telco network announced a massive expansion for their services.
For our members grappling with patchy service and limited options, this news is particularly exciting.
Vodafone, under the umbrella of TPG Telecom, effectively doubled its network coverage, jumping from 95.4 per cent to an impressive 98.4 per cent nationwide.
This expansion translates into a coverage area that is now 2.7 times larger than before.
For locals residing in Queensland, there could be a massive difference in the coverage, as it jumped to 4.1 times compared to the previous coverage.

Vodafone's significant growth has been accredited to a strategic partnership between TPG Telecom and another telco operator, Optus.
The alliance allowed Vodafone to tap into a vast array of additional mobile tower sites across the country.
Meanwhile, Optus could benefit from the partnership by accessing TPG's valuable mobile spectrum.
With the partnership, regional Australians could save hundreds of dollars by injecting much-needed competition into the market.
TPG originally sought a partner with Telstra.
However, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) put a stop to this
proposal.
Vodafone customers may now enjoy over 2,500 extra mobile sites—giving them an effective signal boost when travelling, working remotely, or just staying at home.
Other telcos under the Vodafone network, such as Kogan Mobile, may also take advantage of this partnership by offering low-cost telco options to customers.
To celebrate the expansion and partnership, Vodafone started offering extensive discount deals, including $10 off most of their plans.
A traveller reported a significant boost in network availability while journeying 400 km into regional NSW, where Vodafone had no coverage prior to the partnership.
Optus customers should also notice changes in their network, with both 4G and 5G speeds increasing across its regional network.
'With Vodafone expanding across Australia, the days of having limited mobile choice in regional Australia are over,' Vodafone's Kieren Cooney stated.
'We believe this is the biggest boost to mobile competition in 30 years and will make a huge difference to how Vodafone customers connect, work, travel and play right across the country.'
While Telstra's coverage is still considered unrivalled, particularly in remote areas, the partnership was closed in gaps in towns and cities with denser populations.
With Vodafone's network expansion, Australians in regional areas now have the option for more competitive services and pricing.
