Macca's Winter Menu Is Here And It's Better Than Ever!

For many people, winter means switching from salads and outdoor barbecues to soups and slow-cooked meals to keep warm.
It's also apparently a time of change for the Macca's menu, which has just released its new winter menu items in Australia.
If you think back to a time before the pandemic, you might remember that the Quarter Pounder with Bacon was a very popular Maccas burger with a lot of Aussies. However, the hugely popular burger was taken off the chain's menus in 2019.
Recently, McDonald's Australia has announced that the Quarter Pounder with Bacon is finally making a long-awaited comeback!
And not only is the crowd-favourite back on the menu, but the fast food giant has also added a newer and more exciting version of it called the Quarter Pounder Deluxe.

'The Quarter Pounder is one of our most iconic menu items and much loved for its delicious flavour combinations and ingredients,' said Tim Kenward, the marketing director for McDonald's Australia.
'We are excited to give Quarter Pounder fans even more variety with the addition of the new Quarter Pounder Deluxe and Quarter Pounder with Bacon.
'From crispy bacon to fresh lettuce and tomato, there's something for everyone in this range.'
The Quarter Pounder with Bacon obviously has the same ingredients (cheese, onion, tangy mustard and pickles on top of a beef patty) as the classic QP burger we all know and love; the only difference is that it comes with slices of crispy bacon.
On the other hand, the Quarter Pounder Deluxe comes with crispy lettuce and fresh, sliced tomatoes.

The burgers are only two examples of the several new items that have been added to the menu.
The good news doesn’t stop here. The all-time favourite Mighty Angus burger is also back on the new winter menu.
If this McDonald's favourite is new to you, it consists of two patties made entirely of Australian Angus beef, cheese, bacon, red onion, chunky tomato relish, and McChicken sauce, all sandwiched between soft gourmet buns.
If you miss the Aussie Angus from the fast-food chain's summer menu, the Mighty Angus is the perfect substitute.

And Macca's hasn’t forgotten the snacks, of course! Mozzarella sticks will be back on the menu too. These mozzarella sticks are coated in a golden breading and fried, then served with a chunky tomato relish. Yum!
And what would a new menu be without some sweet treats, right? Macca's has also introduced a couple of new desserts to indulge in.
For the first time, Macca's is adding a Crème Brulee Pie and a Crème Brulee McFlurry to the menu.
The Crème Brulee Pie is a new take on the classic Apple Pie from McDonald's. It is made with a crispy pastry shell filled with smooth creme custard and burnt caramel. The perfect way to warm up this winter!
On the cooler side, there is the Crème Brulee McFlurry, which combines a crispy pastry with custard and burnt caramel filling and vanilla soft serve ice cream. To finish, a drizzle of heated caramel topping is drizzled on top.

Customers will also be able to get a vintage collectable glass when they buy any medium or large Quarter Pounder range meal for a limited time. There are four different glasses to collect, each with the iconic heritage Macca's logo.
The new and old items on McDonald's winter menu are now available in all restaurants across the country. But you better hurry, folks, because once the cooler season is over, these dishes will vanish from the menu!
