Move over, Starbucks. Another fast-food giant has just introduced their own loyalty plan! If you’re a Macca’s fan and you're keen on being rewarded for your spending, then this is your time to shine.
Australian customers can now start earning points on a range of Mcdonald’s classic menu items now that they’ve finally launched their points-based system called ‘MyMacca’s Rewards’.
It’s the very first national loyalty program for McDonald’s Australia, allowing customers to accumulate points as an incentive for purchasing from selected menu items, which can then be redeemed for later use on menu favourites such as cheeseburgers, fries, and McCafe coffee.
If you’re curious to learn the gritty details of how it all works, we’ve got you covered! Every $1 a customer spends on a valid order through the MyMaccas app will give them 100 points. Once the points soar up to 2,500 or more, customers may opt to use it to redeem from selected menu items.
Here’s a list of what you can grab using MyMacca’s Reward points:
- At 2,500 points: Any size of McCafe coffee, Hamburger, small soft drink, Apple pie or apple slices.
- At 5,000 points: Bacon and Egg McMuffin, Cheeseburger, large Fries, McFlurry or Crispy Snack Wrap.
- At 7,500 points: Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, McChicken, Filet-O-Fish or Classic Chicken Salad.
“The only thing better than enjoying your Macca’s faves is being rewarded for it.” said marketing manager for Mcdonald’s Australia, Tobi Fukushima. “With the launch of MyMacca’s Rewards, customers all over Australia can now earn points for every dollar spent, redeemable against some of our most iconic menu items.”
Tobi shared that the launch of the rewards program is a way for the fast-food giant to show their gratitude by giving back to their loyal customers. He also explained that the more points you earn, the more items you unlock.

Before applying the program to stores nationwide, it underwent a brief trial in South Australia last year which turned out to be quite successful.
So, if you’re an avid fan of the popular fast-food chain, then yes, you can officially take part in the rewards program starting on Thursday, March 3! Although, bear in mind that the points aren’t applicable to purchases via McDelivery. We’ll be racing you to 2,500 points!
