LoveatFifty shonkiness

Hi, I’m a male on the old age pension, and I’d like to warn our members about what I believe is a shonky online dating ‘service’. It’s called Loveatfifty. I joined and found that out of over 400 ‘replies’ only one (1) genuine person was from my area, even though some who contacted me claimed to be from nearby. Most of the ‘replies’ were from purportedly, women, who wanted to talk immediately about personal topics (XXX). Some were from WA, the NT, and far North Queensland. I live in western Victoria and had specified a 100 km radius. I cancelled my subscription weeks prior to the renewal date, but to do it, I had to send a Registered Letter ($19) to Vienna, Austria. They still took $358 from my Credit Card. I tried to retrieve my money on numerous occasions, but they repeatedly told me to refer to their General Terms and Conditions that I had signed; however, because they finally cancelled me, their website and access to their General Terms and Conditions were no longer available to me.

I’ve given up hope of getting my money back, but at least I can warn others to avoid ‘LoveatFifty’.

Thank you,

Phil
