Love a servo coffee? Contamination fears lead to a major recall of this popular product

Could you imagine getting to the bottom of your daily brew only to discover a foreign object (or in this case, objects) swimming around in it? Yuck!

Unfortunately for fans of DARE iced coffee, that's exactly what happened – and as a result, four flavours of the popular beverage have been recalled.

Consumers were alerted about the potential presence of foreign matter (plastic pieces) in the following flavours of the beverage: Espresso, Double Espresso, Mocha and Double Espresso No Sugar Added in 750ml bottles.

According to a statement released by Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), these products have been available in Victoria at independent grocery stores including IGA and convenience stores like Coles Express.

Consumers who have purchased any of these products are being urged not to drink them and instead return them to the store they were bought from for a refund.

I am so sick and tired of all these recall products. Why is it happening? This is the reason why us people have all sorts of health problems and diseases. When I grew up, {I am 60 yo} type 2 diabetes was unknown, for example. We drank water from the garden hoses, friends shared a can of Coca-Cola, drank from the can, we ate peanut butter on our sandwiches at school. No one had a peanut allergy and kids were NOT banned to take peanuts, nuts and peanut butter sandwiches to school. No bloody product was ever recalled. There were no obese children, only 1 overweight child here and there, nowadays more children are overweight and already has Type 2 diabetes. We were active, played outside, no electronics:mad::mad::mad::mad:

While I fully agree that overall we led much healthier lifestyles as children in the 1950/60s, remember that information was not as readily available as it is these days, and children were shielded from much of what was known. I discovered in my late teens that someone I had gone to infants school with had in fact not moved as we children assumed, but had died of a nut allergy, which yes, I had not previously heard of.

So much we were not aware of such as skin protection when in the sun. Being unprotected in our early age is reported to be when skin cancers started for us not in our teenage years or later.

I remember drinking from a hose but l believe with all the new you bute technology today the products used can be poisonous.

Some of those new products that are suppose to be good for us certainly do have an adverse result. Ah, the good old days. They were good weren't they?
