I saw today a trivia question regarding Louis Armstrong. The question asks:

Louis Armstrong was a master of which instrument?​ A. Piano B. Trumpet C. Guitar D. Bass

The answer is indeed B: Trumpet Louis Armstrong, an influential figure in the history of jazz, is a master trumpeter and singer.
But it also needs to be corrected. He doesn't play anymore as he died in 1971. So therefor, he "was" a master trumpeter and singer.
Louis Daniel Armstrong (August 4, 1901 – July 6, 1971), nicknamed "Satchmo", "Satch", and "Pops", was an American trumpeter and vocalist.
