Look out, Woolworths! Coles worker hilariously threatens Woolies to respond to ‘hostage’ situation ‘or else’ – “The best TikTok of all time”

Regardless of where you prefer to buy your groceries, you have to admit that the occasional playful banter between major supermarket employees can leave just about anyone in fits of laughter.
Previously, TikTok pranksters posing as ‘fake’ Coles workers went viral after causing havoc in a Woolworths store – but the battle between the two major supermarkets doesn’t end here.
A cheeky Coles worker issued a threat to his employer’s biggest rival Woolworths after stumbling on an unforeseen incident in the car park.
The employee shared footage of his discovery on Friday, demanding Woolies that they needed to address the mix-up immediately “or else”. His camera panned to a pair of misplaced Woolworths trolleys that accidentally ended up in Coles’ trolley collection bay.
“Hello, this is a message from Coles to Woolies,” the worker can be heard saying in the TikTok video.
“We are currently holding two of your shopping trolleys hostage,” he warned, before jokingly slamming a Coles trolley into the two from Woolies.
“You have 24 hours to respond… Or else.”

Even though the clip only lasted 11 seconds, it evidently left hundreds and thousands of users amused as it immediately generated nearly 800k views in the span of 3 days.
“Honestly one of the best TikTok videos of all time.” praised one user.
“Why is this actually SO funny?” asked another.
“Me personally? I wouldn't let that slide, maybe just me though…” a third teased, tagging Woolworths in the comments.
“I support this as a fellow Coles member!” exclaimed a fourth.
Meanwhile, fans of the opposing supermarket hopped in on the banter, with one warning: “I’M CALLING THE COPS!”
“RELEASE THEM IMMEDIATELY!” joked another.
“I work at Woolies, let them free!” chimed a third, while a fourth wrote: “As a Woolies employee, I don't get paid enough to care nor do I have the capacity to, so… You can keep them.”

But a few were just delighted to sit back and watch the drama unfold.
“Oh HELL YES! I am so down for this!!” one person cheered.
“America has gun problems and we have trolly hostages. You gotta love Australia.” pointed out another.
“THIS is the kind of drama I want.” commented a third.
“I love this. Thanks for the laugh, legend!” said one more.
